Objectives and Goals Fundamental Aims and Objectives of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party - BNP are elaborated in the manifesto of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. The principal aims and objectives of the party are summarized below: 1. To safeguard and strengthen the independence, sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and democracy of Bangladesh through the steel-like unity of the people based on Bangladeshi nationalism. 2. To protect Bangladesh from imperialism, expansionism, neo-colonialism, domination, and external aggression by building a united and revitalized nation through economic self-reliance. 3. To achieve national prosperity and human-oriented economic development based on social justice through the politics of production, free-market economy, and people’s democracy. 4. To organize and mobilize people in rural areas through nationalist unity, enabling them to formulate and implement development-oriented plans and projects for their own welfare. 5. To create an environment where democracy takes deep root in the minds of the vast majority at the grassroots level. 6. To ensure a stable socio-political system that allows citizens to achieve their own human, social, and economic advancement. 7. To establish a stable democracy through a parliamentary system of government elected by the direct votes of the people on the basis of multi-party politics, ensuring balanced national development and prosperity. 8. To strengthen the foundation of a democratically elected National Parliament as the protector of democratic practices and institutions, and to safeguard the fundamental rights of the people. 9. To reject and oppose the activities of any underground political organization, armed cadre, group, or agency, and to build public opinion against such entities. 10. To revive human-centered social values and restore a creative, production-oriented outlook to national life. 11. To establish an equitable economy based on justice through practical and effective development programs, ensuring that every citizen of Bangladesh has access to basic human needs—food, clothing, healthcare, education, and shelter. 12. To prioritize rural development programs and ensure peace, happiness, and prosperity in rural Bangladesh through active public participation. 13. To make proper and pragmatic use of all human resources, including women and the youth community. 14. To adopt realistic economic planning and establish harmonious labor-management relations to ensure maximum productivity in the industrial sector through a fair labor policy. 15. To preserve, develop, and promote the Bengali language, literature, culture, heritage, and sports of Bangladesh. 16. To uphold the moral and human values of the Bangladeshi people through Islamic and other religious teachings; to expand education among underprivileged communities and ensure their greater participation in national life. 17. To maintain international friendship and equality on the basis of non-alignment in foreign policy, strengthening ties of fraternity and cooperation with neighboring countries, friendly nations of the Third World, and brotherly Muslim countries on the basis of sovereignty and mutual respect.
